LURKING

2009, INSTALLATION

Lurking is a photographic installation that explores the boundaries between visibility and erasure. A translucent film is layered over photographs of migrant workers, obscuring and revealing them depending on the viewer’s position. The work becomes a meditation on how perception — shaped by distance, legality, prejudice, and indifference — alters what we choose to see or ignore. It’s a quiet confrontation with the unseen labor and human stories that exist just beyond our awareness.

Self initiated project.
